The Monroe Solar Farm Project Boasts of a 14 megawatts peak (Mwp) capacity, this solar farm is set to power more than 10,000 homes with clean, sustainable electricity for the next twenty years. Construction efforts are underway, with completion anticipated by April 2024, and operations are slated to commence by May 2024, supplying electricity to the National Grid.
This eco-conscious initiative is poised to make a substantial environmental impact, with an estimated annual carbon offset equivalent to planting approximately 7.26 million trees. Spanning approximately 50 acres, Monroe Solar farm is adorned with over 20,000 solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, harnessing the sun’s energy to generate power.
In addition to its energy-producing capabilities, Monroe Solar farm places a significant emphasis on environmental preservation. Special care has been taken to safeguard archaeologically sensitive areas within the site, ensuring that the land can be returned to agricultural use once the solar farm reaches the end of its operational lifespan.
Monroe Solar farm exemplifies our commitment to sustainable energy practices, providing a renewable energy source while prioritizing environmental stewardship and community well-being.
